Hunting
wild bison in Wyoming is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
In the early 19th century, approximately 60 million bison
roamed North America. In 1872 following their near extermination…less
than 500 bison survived and Yellowstone National Park was
established with a herd of 21 cows and bulls. This area is
now home to one of nation’s largest truly free-roaming
herds. For a limited time the wildlife managers will be offering
special bison hunts to residents and non-residents. Some of
these hunts will be conducted on the National Elk Refuge and
are used as a management tool to reduce the number of bison
and damage to the critical winter elk habitat.
You
are about to embark on a phenomenal and memorable
hunting experience. In addition to the wonderful memories
of your outdoor adventure in the spectacular scenery of the
Teton's, you will also take home a freezer full of healthy
organic gourmet bison meat. To recapture the memories of your
hunt, consider having your bull shoulder-mounted for your
game room, a European mount made of the skull to hang on the
barn, and the thick hide tanned for those cold winter nights.
We invite you to live the dream, experience the adventure,
unwind in Wyoming’s wild country, and marvel at the
beauty of God’s creation. |

Hunting Testimony
We
all had the experience of our lives on Ron's hunt. In fact
it was such an honor and a blessing to have experienced this,
that I have now put in for the draw, also. It only took the
one time to catch the fever of large game hunting. So, we
hope to be in touch with you when (if) my name gets drawn.
Thank
you for your friendship, professionalism, and genuine interest
in guiding us on the hunt. The scenery and wildlife, alone
were well worth the trip, not to mention the thrill of the
harvest. We thoroughly enjoyed Johnnie's and Dale's
expertise and felt privileged to have been guided by them.
We, with the help of Kevin and Bill (friends that participated
in the hunt), cut up and processed our own meat then shared
it with a host of friends and neighbors. We started on a Saturday
morning at 9:00 and finally finished sometime after midnight.
We enjoyed the fellowship so much, the hours passed all to
quickly, but we were certainly ready to fall into bed when
it was all finished, split up among us, and the cleanup was
completed.
Thank
you, again, Blessings to you and all your crew.

Gary Young harvested a bison bull in with a Boone and Crockett
score of 127.7. He writes of his experience with Tag and Drag
“He is not only a consummate professional and knowledgeable
of the hunting area, but is truly 'magic' with the ability
to drag, field dress, use various winches, pulleys and other
machinery to deliver the game animal to the butcher on time.
All this without damage or waste. I would highly recommend
Johnnie Filbeck's "You Tag'em, We'll Drag'em" service,
particularly if your hunting elk, bison, or any other game
animal in Western Wyoming...Now, if the Good Lord has blessed
you with the ability, health, talent and wherewithal to hunt
His wild creatures, then consider to stop for a moment and
give thanks for your blessings. I am very grateful for the
opportunity that I had to pursue my dream of harvesting a
record Boone and Crockett bull and making new friends in Wyoming".
Look for Gary’s article in an upcoming issue of Garth
Carters Hunting Magazine.
Tag
and Drag assisted with many other trophies including well
over a dozen additional bison bulls that that made the book
in the 2007-2010 seasons.
